In deze tentoonstelling heb ik me vanuit mijn actuele wereldbeleving als vrouw gericht op het werken rond een waaier van vrouwelijke krachten en emoties. Tijden veranderen, cultuurverschijnselen, gebruiken en morele codes worden aangepast door mannen en vrouwen, die voor hun rechten opkomen. Bewustwording is daarbij een noodzakelijke voorwaarde tot verandering. Een deel van de werken in de huidige tentoonstelling zijn van mijn reeks ; ‘Sterke vrouwen’ Hierbij wil ik tonen hoeveel kracht er uitgaat van geloof in jezelf, je intuïtie en authenticiteit. Door deze vrouwen af te beelden wil ik in hun bezieling vangen en hun kracht en kwetsbaarheid doorgeven.

In this exhibition I have, through my current world experience as a woman, focussed my work on a wide range of female emotions and strengths. Times change and so does culture. Customs and morals are adapted by both men and women who stand up fort heir rights. Awareness of what’s happening is absolutely essential for change to happen. Only a part of my ‘Strong Women’ or ‘Sterke vrouwen’ in Dutch, series is present i the current exhibition.

In this series I want to present the amount of strength that comes from trust in oneself, intuition and authenticity. By picturing these women I want to present both their strengths and their weakness.

Dans cette exposition, à travers mon expérience mondiale actuelle en tant que femme, j’ai concentré mon travail sur un large éventail d’émotions et de forces féminines. Les temps changent et la culture aussi. La morale et les coutumes sont adaptées par les hommes et les femmes qui défendent leurs droits.

Être conscient de ce qui se passe est absolument essentiel pour que le changement se produise. Seule une partie de ma série ‘Femme forte’ ou ‘Sterke Vrouwen’ est présent dans l’exposition en cours. Dans cette série, je veux montrer à quel point le pouvoir vient de la confiance en soi, de l’intuition et de l’authenticité. En représentant ces femmes , je veux montrer à la fois leurs forces et leurs faiblesses.
